Star Wars Episode V The Empire Strikes Back
Change Playback Speed : Full Speed : Half Speed : Quarter Speed : Eighth Speed : Sixteenth Speed
Explanation : The DIF Project compares two versions of a video, using the Difference Overlay Blending Mode to aid in the identification of changes. ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blend_modes#Difference )
Note : About 4.82% of the image seen in 2004 has been cut off due to the film being zoomed in for the 2019 variation. Generally, 60%-70% of the movie has been shifted right, 10% has a centered framing and 10% shifted to the Top-Left corner. In the DIF images, the Yellow outline around 2019 shows the reduced visible frame.
Questions : Would like to better understand the color reprocessing which was undertaken in 2004 and determine how much of that correction was carried over into 2019 and what was left out or not reapplied.
All times are approximate.
