SUMMARY:
Recommends passage, with an amendment in the nature of a substitute, of H.R. 4586, the Family Movie Act of 2004, to amend the Trademark Act of 1946 to clarify that use of certain technologies to filter content out of movies for private viewing is not a violation of copyright or trademark law.
 
Bill is intended to allow parents to protect their children from violent or sexually explicit content on digital video discs.
